Guidelines for using GitHub at AAU

When using the free version of GitHub, it is recommended that you:

  • Only upload level 0 data, according to the AAU data classification model
  • Apply two-factor authentication to your GitHub account 
  • Apply appropriate access control permissions and ensure that only authorized individuals can view or contribute to the project  
  • Apply appropriate roles and responsibilities to the repositories 
  • Be aware of and comply with the licensing and usage rights (e.g. IPR) when using data from open repositories in GitHub or data from other places.
