DataDeposit
DataDeposit is AAU’s internal storage system, where you can store finalised research data or code for several years. DataDeposit is available exclusively to researchers at Aalborg University.
Key features:
- You can store all types and variations of finalised data.
- You can store data classified up to and including level 3 according to AAU’s data classification model.
- It is free to use.
- You can store up to 1 TB per dataset.
- The data are stored for up to five years.
- Backup of the data is performed off-site.
The main reasons for using DataDeposit
- One central safe place to store (all) your finalized research data with backup.
- Ensures data are adequately described with FAIR metadata.
- DataDeposit is suitable for data classified up to and including level 3 and can handle all data types and formats.
- Securing the preservation of the original data set for future reuse.
- Supports compliance with AAU’s Data Management Policy, which requires a copy of finalized research data, associated metadata and other project documentation to be stored in AAU’s local storage system, unless otherwise agreed.
